DESCRIPTION:
Homemade press adaptor fabricated by welding a 1/2" drive to a round steel plate and a 1-1/2" pipe. Utilized in conjunction with large impact sockets to avoid incurring damage to drive stem shoulders.

I'm dying to commend this idea but I don't quite see the need for the welded piece.  Can someone clarify?  Thanks.
