DESCRIPTION:
Homemade offroad floor jack adapted from a standard model via the addition of 6" wheels to the front and replacement of the swiveling rear wheels with taller surplus units. To accommodate the larger wheels, a new axle was fabricated from 5/8" solid rod stock.

How on earth did you resist hanging a set of zoomies and a bunch of sponsor decals on this? I can see where solid tires could be a huge benefit for less than heaviest vehicles. I have seen sandrailer guys use skids for both ends...

In fact, I sometimes have to use a jack "out in the field", so to speak...this is a great idea.

Some floor jacks need to be really low to get under a track car (see the toe jack entry on this site). This one goes in the opposite direction. Nice and practical!
