    Wrench rack

If there is ne thing I hate is not being able to find the combination wrench size when I need it because it is in a tool box drawer buried amongst a hundred other wrenches.
My combination wrenches range in sizes from 1/4" through 2 1/2" and I have multiples of most sizes. they took up 3 drawers in my big tool box.
But now I have a wall of wrenches

Currently my metrics are a bit more limited You may note the fractional inch sizes on the left and the metrics on the right ranging from 6mm to 22mm while missing a couple sizes

Eventually I will have to build a proper paint spray booth with an attached preparation area this needs to be separate from the shop for various reasons

Much better! I have black tape ringed around my metric spanners, white tape around the A/F sizes and red tape around the imperial sizes. There are two rings for the ones at the back, three rings for the ones at the front, and one ring for the ones in the toolbox! The BA spanners don’t have tape, but they’re in another box. I don’t like using adjustable spanners, so they’re either in boxes or nearby!

Separating is good. Identifying even better. Categorizing is just brilliant. While no fan of adjustable wrenches, I use them often enough. If good quality they grip securely, and reliable enough knowing to pull or push on the hard jaw. Some of the kit handed down, must be 70 years old. They're evident, the heads were very thick in the past, perhaps another half of current. These are Crescent pattern, not Monke style, but nothing beats a Trimo. Holy Moley, THAT'S a wrench!
