World record fastest revolver draw - GIF

World record fastest revolver draw. There are a variety of these records, but I think this is in the class with the fastest times (essentially the least restrictions).

Good slo-mo and enlarged slo-mo in this GIF. Is he pulling the trigger while the gun is still holstered?

Yes he is, looks like he's fanning that 'ol single action Colt to fire it. Don't try this at home, kids!

(back when I was a youngster I broke my thumb while in wrestling practice; had to wait an extra hour and a half in the ER before it was set because the orthopedic doc on call was pulled into the OR: a sheriff's academy instructor had messily shot himself in the leg showing off his quick draw to the cadets...)

So just pondering whether this is where the wanna-be gangbangers learned how to turn the gun sideways before firing.....

I have seen one of these guys do this in person before. When as a law enforcement officer we had to do some timed drills we had to have the hands off the firearm and at our sides. He has one hand on the revolver, and one on the holster.

I alsl saw Clayton Moore (who played The Lone Ranger) in person and was admiring his pair of Colts and leather. When he found out I was in Law enforcement he told me to "Take it out and look it over good. Of course I did. He was a really nice guy.

Specialist gun without sights to hang up on anything and easier slick movement access to the hammer, that also appears to to have a wider and polished spur too.
