    Woodturning ornament rotative tool

Here is my rotative tool for making some nice ornaments in woodturned pieces :

Its done using a pair of micro ball bearings, 3.2 mm interior diameter, inserted with a spacer in the tip of a 10 mm shaft, itself inserted in a woodturning tool handle.
The handle is made out of figured ash.

So the bits are standard Dremel bits, I have different shapes, cylinder, ball, or conical as on the picture.
It's applied with a little pressure under whatever angle on wood, and you obtain nice spiral like figures.
Actually, it's always difficult to predict what the figure will be, but it's nice.

To be honest, I must give credit for the idea of this tool to the brand Henry Taylor which sells something similar that gave me the idea.

Well done Christophe. I like the bit holder design. The turned handle looks nice too.

The tool is clever but that handle is gorgeous.

I suppose that now, if someone offered you a free rose engine lathe, you'd have to turn it down? :-)
