    With today's vinyl wrap technology it wouldn't be too much of a stretch to do it in vinyl but quite difficult to make all of the grain patterns remain true.
    I used to know a wood grin paint artist who cold pull it off with a brush but he would be more expensive than simply building out of wood to start with.
    Laminate overlay could be as hard to keep the grain structure true to form as a wrap would.
    so my vote is it is probably real wood in at least some areas

    thats so sweet.Ive wanted to build a life size wooden car for most of my life. it's awesome that somebody have beaten me to it in the fashion it deserves. awesome work to whoo everrr did it.

    Thanks for posting Frank. The writer's statement, under the second picture that it was "carefully carved", is in my opinion incorrect. I suggest that a normal steam bending process was followed in achieving the rounded wheel arches, for instance. Nevertheless it is indeed great workmanship.
