It's very satisfying to confirm the fact that fone-freaks are as stupid as I imagine them to be.

I'm so glad she was able to save her phone because without it her life would like totally be over.

Make the rescue three times as hard for the guy. I hope he got a reward she looked kinda cute. Dumb, but cute...

SO MANY videos of stupid boats on the "Tube" Haulover Inlet of famous for that kind of stuff.

I my younger years I worked at an inland marina, doing repairs and teaching new boat owners how to operate their boats. I was always amazed how so many did not want an instruction since they, "....already know how to operate a boat.", or "This is not my first boat".

So many times they came back a few weeks later with damage to be repaired. One guy had a "bow shaped" trunk lid on his shiny fancy car, a huge gash in the bow where the boat hit the winch stand during its "flight" over the trailed on onto the car.

Girl friend and I used to stop at the boat ramp sometimes while on a date to watch crazy people loading or unload their boats. (I did not have any money to go to fancy places

People launching and recovering their boats are cheap entertainment. and way nor fun than watching reruns of Monty python's flying circus.

The boat launch here is referred to as The Divorce Ramp. She's in the vehicle having no idea how to backup a trailer and he's in the boat yelling wildly...

If your phone is that important to you, get a waterproof case for it.

BTW, the rotary un-Smartphone phones we discussed previously recently started shipping: https://skysedge.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=89

It's funny but sad too. Sweet boat, nice day, beautiful water. And this woman was probably actively using her phone the second she went overboard. She got tossed pretty hard, but I have to wonder if she could've stayed onboard if she had a second free hand.

I poked around a little and I didn't see smartphone addiction listed in the DSM-V, but it looks like it might make the next edition. The term "nomophobia" is being tossed around: No Mobile Phone Phobia. More:
