I found this gem on Amazon while buying some replacement sanding pads.
The sanding pads are described as being appropriate for wood working, metal working, and...metope working.
Hmmm...metope? Is metope a type of material, like wood or metal? I saw that the company selling the pads was named "Lot Fancy". This looked like a common Chinese style brandname for the American market: a combination of two words, either of which could maybe be applicable, but when placed together look awkward. The Amazon page says that Lot Fancy was founded in the US over a decade ago (yeah right). This is probably a reseller of goods you can buy on Alibaba, if you want 10,000 sanding pads.
I thought maybe metope was another word for drywall. The photo kinda looks like drywall, you sand drywall, and it's also called sheetrock, gypsum board, wallboard, and maybe also metope?
