Without looking it up, what does "metope" mean?

I found this gem on Amazon while buying some replacement sanding pads.

The sanding pads are described as being appropriate for wood working, metal working, and...metope working.

Hmmm...metope? Is metope a type of material, like wood or metal? I saw that the company selling the pads was named "Lot Fancy". This looked like a common Chinese style brandname for the American market: a combination of two words, either of which could maybe be applicable, but when placed together look awkward. The Amazon page says that Lot Fancy was founded in the US over a decade ago (yeah right). This is probably a reseller of goods you can buy on Alibaba, if you want 10,000 sanding pads.

I thought maybe metope was another word for drywall. The photo kinda looks like drywall, you sand drywall, and it's also called sheetrock, gypsum board, wallboard, and maybe also metope?

Easy to look it up. Here's the definition of metope:

And here's what a metope looks like:

Could the Chinese rebuild the Parthenon? Could anybody? Has Phidias’s genius ever been surpassed?

Can the Greeks rebuild the Parthenon? They're trying as we speak and, from what I've seen on the documentaries, doing a careful job of it. The real test will come with the first Richter 7+ earthquake.

As an analogy, I think this is fairly accurate. Of course, they would rename it Super Great Best Ever Feta Olive Building.
