Wire Bending Tool...Quick and Cheap

Put this little wire bender together for model airplane landing gear. It was made from stuff in the scrap box.
Really could use some finishing touches but then it would not be quick.

One bolt is used for the end rod and that has a small radius around the shaft to hold the wire while the arm is rotated on it. The wire is picked up by the radiused allen cap screw on the arm and then rotated until it has the desired bend against the radiused allen on the steel bar. Works fine for upto 5/32 music wire.

Down and dirty but look like it works great. Like that you put the radii on the pins. Does the inboard one rotate with the wire?

No rotation of the pins, just the lever. I need to clean it up and make up more pins for various sizes of wire for future use. I use 1/8 5/32 and 3/32 mostly. I have one longer pivot that will make coils if I need that on the landing gear.
