    WIP - Magnifier Lamp

A little project I'm currently working on, a magnifier lamp. The base is wood, the arms wood and aluminium and the head will be 3D printed. I've got 24 bright white LEDs to go around the outside and a x3 lens from a cheap magnifying glass. I've also a smaller x5 magnifier that I might make an adapter for.

    Hey Andy,

That looks great! When it's all done, post the link to the project page on your site and I'll get it added here.

Looks good! The 3D-printed head is interesting. Do post up the project when you're done.

I started a test print yesterday and it's right on my limits regarding size, it's also going to be a very long print duration if I print it in good quality. So best not to start at 8pm!

The final print of the head would be thicker, I assume? I'm really interested because a magnifying light is one of the projects on my list.

Yes, it should be about 12mm, I was trying to print it too quickly so the edges had gone all wobbly.

I like the adjustable arms those could be usefully for quite a few different things
