I have been a woodwork teacher for 22 years. I then became a technical author, a career that I enjoyed very much, working with the best engineers our country could produce.
Woodworking and metalworking has always been a passion with me, as I also grew up in a home where everything was DIY. My father in his years built 10 steam engines, two clocks and many other fantastic gadgets. He further made his own milling machine which I still uses. My father has passed away. He was my greatest tutor. At age seven I already worked on the metalwork lathe making small parts for little toys I made.
Many of the machines I use today are homemade.
I love making toys, especially ride-on's that children can enjoy.
I am VERY happily married, have four wonderful children (two sons and two daughters [all working or married]) and eight grand children. My sons and daughters are all very woodwork orientated and made there own furniture My eldest daughter build the decor for school plays at the schools they are involved with with their children.
My wife does scroll work and also decorates the most beautiful cakes for the children and grand children birthday parties.
God has really blessed me with a wonderful family in my life and still does. To Him, all the Glory.
And that is my storey.
