Got tired of trying to find a place to store the Oxy & Acetylene bottle caps; then trying to remember where !
Came up with this plan. It works really well and wished I'd thought of it sooner.
Not all Oxy-Acetylene carts will be this size/configuration, but hopefully someone can find this useful to build something similar for their torch kit.
Most everything was pieces I had laying around. The short tubes were turned for plenty of clearance for the caps.
The assembly tilts out so that the caps can be stored/retrieved. There's a latch that holds the assembly upright.
I also built a circular-cutting arm for the torch. A hole is drilled through the material and the 3/8 bolt holds the pivot. A brass-tipped setscrew keeps the bolt from unscrewing. The round boss that the torch head sits in allows the torch to turn while holding it to make the cut. There's an adjustment for tip height.
This was just for one job, but the "beam" can be made longer to suit. The arm stores in the tilt-out too.
The Allen wrench used to adjust the circle diameter also serves to hold the arm inside the rectangular tube.
