Before anyone asks, I heard the reason for pulling the yarn into a zig-zag pattern after throwing the shuttle is so that when the reed closes the weave the yarn is not stretched This makes the rug thicker and insures it will lay flat after becoming wet if the yarn shrinks.
Never try to tell me it can't be done
When I have to paint I use KBS products
