Pretty efficient operation - only takes 3 guys standing around to make it work!

We have contractors that service council tips to perform this service...but it goes directly into hopper trucks and sold to industries that produce their own power. As this video appears to be made by the manufacturer, they are possibly showing just how fast it is. Big magnets below the grinders take out up to 90% (I'm told...) of nails from pallets et al. Our local tip processes a mountain of pallets in only a couple of hours.

For a couple of years I worked at a timber reclaim facility. Sadly, it could not be sustained. A much larger machine than this was brought in. Below the gnashers was a big steel bin to catch the metal, an enormous amount. Unfortunately, the shredded wood was considered unsuitable for mulching or energy generation, and was consigned to landfill.
