Reminds me of Barf the Magic Dragon, anti Shark device the USN had for divers decades ago. Looked like a giant hypodermic needle minus the syringe, with a 450 gram CO2 lifeboat inflation cartridge in the handle.
Stick it into Mr. shark, flip the lever, the CO2 turns him inside out.
