Carry the most number of washers from stamper to packing without getting tired during a 15 hour workshift?
Or, that's the most slots you can fit on a standard plate size? (500 wastes space and 1000 wont fit)?
Or, it's a custom one-off sorting plate made with whatever they had around the shop?

Why wouldn't they just weigh the washers?
Because weighing them is the way everyone else does it. So instead of 1 scale with a chart telling how many washers there are per unit of weight they need perforated plates for each different size washer. Yeah, that makes perfect senseOriginally Posted by Inflight
