Vought F7U Cutlass multirole fighter in service with the U.S. Navy from 1951 to 1959. The Cutlass was notorious for its abysmal service record. Twenty-five pilots were killed flying the aircraft and a quarter of all Cutlasses built were destroyed in accidents.
