Anyone know if that's a production vehicle, or a custom job?

Hopefully it has more horsepower than the typical VW Bug...

Hey, one of quite a few Vdubs I had, many moons ago, a 1970 type 1 beetle with 1500, stock 54 HP...with a 36/32 Weber downdraft, whole shot manifold, Monza headers and distributor rework, made 72HP on the dyno! I was suitably chuffed...and it was fun to drive, in 1975...cheers guys

My Dad had a bug that had the van engine in it with racing cam, etc. It was fun to drive but it loped along until you got it up to about 75 mph then it wanted to leave the ground like an airplane. It was the cute powder blue color and there was nothing to indicate that it was all souped-up on the exterior.
