My current project is to do some metal forming so I had to make concave and convex pieces(anvil?foot?) to do the actual forming. Since it was going to be a process where I'd start out with a guestimate and then cut a tighter and tighter radius until I compensated for springback I decided I needed a way to make a repeatable and precise way to do it. I scored some 80/20 2020 10 series aluminum extrusion off the local Craigslist. So I used that and some rack and pinion's I got off ebay along with some 80/20 linear bearings. Along with the rotary table off my mill. I hope the pix will be self explanatory.
