Those chairs are dangerous. Many times they sit out in the sun. The plastic degrades quickly. Then become brittle, and people over 200 pounds. (90 Kg) are at serious risk of suddenly sitting on the ground.

With sharp pieces of broken plastic sticking out of them. Fortunately, it was a small hole, didn't bleed a lot, and no infection.

I was at the Buttercup sand dunes several years ago and a friend brought several of those chairs he just purchased for the trip. He was sitting in one and it kept tilting over and he kept straightening it up. He finally figured out he had one leg in the remains of the previous evening`s bonfire which had been covered over with sand but was still hot and was melting the leg, lol.

I won't even sit in a chair like that. I've had far to many just warp out from under me. And when I stand up, they stay wrapped around me.

I'm a pituitary giant, so it's just one more way in which the world is not designed to accommodate me. I'm used to it, but stuff like this is infuriating.
