The so called "fixer" wants to get the job done in a shoddy way, get paid and leave, with no concern for the next "fixer" left to deal with a complete stripped threads.
A technician will use a double hex key (12 point hex key) to deal with 12 point head fasteners. A "fixer" will use anything at hand and leave for good since he knows that he will never return, rather, he will be looking for the next victim.
