    Convert one cheap clamp from 8" to 15". Done.

    Nothing ugly about this modification. I think a series different length extensions for the same c-clamp ends would be very handy in the shop.

    Nice mod, you could make it versatile with a longer bar with several screw holes.

    A good idea for Ken to start a new diverting thread : what's the weather like at your location ?
    Me, I'm in the middle : ~10°C with a lot of rain
    I would like to have one week at Manotoba Man's and one week at Doc's ... just for the change of scene ...

    Here in central Florida, this winter has been a mixture of unseasonably (and unreasonably!) cold days (approaching freezing) followed by warm ones. Low 30s Fahrenheit not three days ago and over 80 today.
