    I see that the producer of this item has welded the threaded tubing to what I'm assuming is a short piece of brake camshaft with the splines, because that is how a slack adjuster works. Altho a great idea, I would never use that item to hold anything. All binders, chain & boomers have to be certified to be used in the transport industry here in Alberta.

    You don't want the DOT to catch you with binders that are not stamped here either. For as long as I can remember flat bed haulers used 5/16" load chains, low bed IE Step decks roll backs ETC. used 3/8" and sometimes 1/2" mostly. Now the DOT says 3/8" for most things and 1/2" minimum for any type of earth moving equipment.
