    Truss Tube Telescope Mount

Truss Tube Telescope Mount. Made from steel, conduit tubing,Wood,Aluminum and brass.
This is a Zhumell telescope that came with a manual base, no way of tracking.
I built a base and truss system that allows the telescope to be moved with small motors via hand controls.
The vertical movement is made by chain drive while the horizontal is done by large aluminum gear. I also made the lettering on the side of the base
    star gazer. Thanks for L@@KING........:O)

    Captain,

You are a master builder indeed. This is a fantastic example of your building skills putting to use all those neat tool modifications and additions you have added to Homemadetools.com. I can't wait to see some of your other precision made projects like the telescope mount. I am a scientist by training (PhD in Geophysics) so I really enjoy seeing shop made scientific instruments. Thank you for sharing this!

Hello Paul, nice to hear from you again.(PhD in Geophysics) WOW Thats impressive as a green person I am interested in geothermal heating and cooling. I suggest to the people that I talk to on the ham rig that they check into geothermal if they live in an area that
has neither wind or solar. One man in Michigan has geothermal his heating cost dropped by 70% now that is a mean green earth machine.. :O)
