This 1948 Ford Truck was built by jgb7038 on KillBillet.com.
The truck was picked up for free as an abandoned project. The S-10 frame was removed in favor of a '70 Chevy truck chassis. There's a long list of custom modifications for this build, including:
-channeled frame
-'40 Ford front axle assembly
-'59 Chevy dash blended into door panels
-lowered
-stretched cab
-new cross-braced floor
-late '70s Oldsmobile steering column
-narrowed hood
-firewall recess from old wheelbarrow tub
Ironically, the owner put so much customization into the build that he decided that "It has become about 150% more 'finished' than I had originally planned", and that the truck could no longer fit the rat rod concept. So the exterior, interior, and engine block were painted, and the rat rod truck became a hot rod.
