Agreed, but he may very well saved not only his job, but it could have been his truck also. He saved a lot of grief for the owners of the cars also. Some people are programmed to jump into action and make a bad situation better, others just watch the carnage. Of course there is also the case where people jump into action and make things worse, it is all part of life.

I counted 9 seconds from the time he seemed to pull the release bar on the hitch until he had the truck stopped.
