    I wish I had sandy loam - I have Cascade Concrete Clay!
    When it's dry, I have to use my monster hammer-drill (spins up to 4" bits happily thru concrete) and a spade-blade on the front to pound out little chunks.
    That 'shovel' of mine weight around 40 pounds total.
    Huff! Puff!
    (but it's good for me!)
