Might as well leave it now if it wants to remain that badly. It will probably branch and leaf out next cycle
Never try to tell me it can't be done

Related story: 12yo Queensland boy was crushed under fallen tree that sprang upright after severe storm

I came across the Australian story while searching for another that I heard where a child was trapped by a tree when it sprang up after being cut, just like the one in the video. The father who was cutting the tree didn't realize that his son was playing on the other side of the root ball. In that case I believe the child was uninjured, but I can't find that story now.

I think he ran out of fuel: why else would you handsaw with a chainie.
Never before seen a tree hail its demise (was going to say demiser but some fron SC might object).

    Cheers

Maybe someone told him the saw cuts better if you jerk if in ant out of the cut. The only reason I can think of for the hand sawing action would be if he was thinking the bar was getting bound.
