I'm having a bit of trouble with tools of this sort.
If I zero the second DI by moving it to the point where the first read zero, doesn't that make it redundant? Folks have been tramming mill heads for years by swinging a single DI.
Secondly, you surely don't zero your two banger on the MOVABLE jaw of the vise. You tram your mill head relative to the mill table. After doing so, you might use the tool to check the FIXED jaw on the vise or the bed of the vise.
