Somewhere in Dad's collection is a simpler device, (2 slots @ 90°) from a weaving machine, very worn but works smoothly, all wood probably ash, with brass pins.
Well over 100 years old, I don't recall any markings, could be work of an old factory maintenance man.

Oddly enough, every souvenir stand has a nearly identical device as a vintage toy.
