Over in Kuwait there are brackish water pools a short distance inland from the sea some up to several Kilometers even located near their huge oilfields some of these were real deep. after the wells were set on fire there was huge pools of oil and water everywhere once they fires were all extinguished. eventually dust storms covered the oil on the ground where the oil had hidden the marshy pools of water. years later these had crusted over with a foot or more hard pan sand, one of these was discovered when a road grader was blading a new road to a new drill sight. the operator just barely managed to get out of the cab before the grader sank until nothing but the radiator and half of the engine cover was visible
