Toyota Steering Rack Modification | Toyota Tacoma Steering Rack Upgrade | Disassembly Rack Mods P1. We modify a 2007 Toyota Tundra steering rack to work in a Toyota Tacoma. If you need more steering power for those large wheels or if you do not want a steering failure in the back country, this is the modification for you. The Tacoma steering racks are poorly made and weak and can not handle the steering demands of large tires and 4 WD driving.

I this part I disassemble the Steering Rack and machine the Rack.

My son and I performed this modification. I did the disassembly and modifications and he performed the re-assembly and Installation.
