    This fellow is certainly a craftsman... I enjoyed watching that.

    I never "got" why some folks have thought it a good idea to make a hammer, of all things, out of a lighter material, being that weight is, practically, one of THE defining factors of the effectiveness of a hammer. If aero-gel was as hard & durable as steel or titanium, would it make a better hammer because it's lighter? Certainly not. I'm not denying the "cool factor" of lightweight exotic metals, I just think they shine more in other applications where their qualities actually benefit the application, like bicycle & eyeglass frames & SR-71 components.

    I can see no purpose for using titanium in a hammar. Seems a waste of resources.

    Talking about exotics....I think a Depleted Uranium hammer would at least benefit from the increased mass.
