Actually that is a straight knife cutting through many layers of cloth. The blade is straight with no teeth or scallops of any
Kind. Very sharp!! I use one everyday like that for 47 years now.
She also needs ear plugs or muffs or else she will be hard of hearing in a few years and braces on her wrist and hands to absorb the vibrations or else she will have wrist& hand and forearm trouble.
