    tent addition to the shop.

I don't know if this is going to be a temporarily permanent or a permanently temporary addition to the back of my shop since it is right where I want to eventually set my American lathe. But for now a paint booth is going to be set up inside of it.
I started off by laying down 50 cu yards of the red clay dirt

Then anchored some supports to the East wall

    Then started installing the structure

Finished off by wrapping all sharp corners with rags to protect the plastic sheeting

Great idea for using with old billboard vinyls. They frequently come my way and are used in lots of different situations. I acquired an HF 10'x10' shed frame with no fabric and a 10'x20' advertising vinyl fits it perfectly.

That is what I will be covering this frame work with I have a 17x48 vinyl which will cover the top and both ends plus half way down the side, the remainder of the side will have a 6 mill clear plastic stretched over it to allow light in, one end will be left as a flap for entry. The paint we will be using on the things we will be coating required about 50% humidity to cure properly so before we hang anything from the overhead pipes we will wet the ground with a few hundred gallons of water allow it to soak in the tent itself will serve as a huge humidor chamber which with our normally too low humidity the moisture in the ground should be sufficient to raise the humidity enough for our purpose

I was hoping to get the billboard tarp on the frame today but the wind did not cooperate.
Trying to wrestle and secure a nearly 900 sq ft tarp weighing 150 lbs while battling a 25 MPH wind with 35 MPH guests my myself is not my idea of safe fun while on a scaffold. Tomorrow the wind is supposed to be much calmer and out of an different direction so I enlisted a helper

My helper showed up around 9 Am this morning I was hoping he would get here by 7:30 but you don't always get what you pay for now days. Anyway by 11:00 we had the tarp on the frame, and I cut him loose.
