Hello my name is Ron, and I came across your webpage during an image search. I have built a lot of different tools for my shop use and for others. I worked for 20 years as a tool & die maker before going back to school and earning an engineering degree.

I rebuild and restore old metal working machinery, motorcycles, and other equipment or car/truck parts as needed. In the past I worked on contract for motorcycle roadrace teams, and help friends with their race cars. I also have an interest in alternative energy projects.

I live in Illinois between the Rock and Mississippi rivers.

Welcome - glad to have you here!

Sounds as though you'll fit right in. Lots of rebuilders and restorers on the site. I'm building a street-legal race car (it'll be principally a track-day toy) myself at the moment.

When you're ready to share some of your own homemade tools, we'd love to see them. Please post them directly in the Homemade Tools subforum. We'll add each one to the database, as well as to your builder page on the site.

Non-tool items should be shared in the Not a Tool, but Homemade subforum.
