Hi All
This is an adjustable tapping fixture, which I made to use in conjunction with an auto reversing tapping head. The idea is to set the work-piece so it is supported and held in the fixture but is easily slid within the fixture. The fixture is then, positioned under the drill spindle and bolted to the table and each hole in that plain, can be tapped. (The video should clarify this).
The clutch on the tapping head can be set to avoid breakage. To reverse the direction of the tapping head you simply lift the quill upwards, which reverses the direction of the cutting tool without having to switch the machine off or change the motor direction. The hexagon bar acts as a stop to prevent the main body of the tapping head from rotating.
