Taking Apart Complex Appliances So They can Go Back Together

Call this a micro-article. I recently got myself in trouble taking apart a rather complex (and expensive) appliance. Lots of screws had to be removed and a few were not the same length as the rest. Since my goal was to repair the appliance, I had to stop and figure out how to get each screw back into the right hole after the repair was done. The procedure had to be foolproof, quick, and as close to free as possible.
