    Kudos on the torque slot and stripper bolt head 'key'. Adding holders for taps might prove very productive. I've experimented with light compression and extension springs to retract tailstocks and/ or dieholders. Not ready to post, still too fiddly, but it's handy to have two hands for lathe control and let something do the retraction.
