Tackling a ventilation problem in the shop (and a laziness problem)

    Howdy!

Working in a small one-car garage has it's setbacks. One of which being If I run my CNC plasma cutter with the door closed for too long, it starts looking like Snoop Dogg's recording studio in there.

So, to remedy this problem I installed a vent hood that will come down from the ceiling to right over that the machine at the push of a button, and retract when I'm done with it.

Now, I never have to open that heavy garage door again door again! (Thank god, my back hurts)

I realize this is less of a homemade tool, and more of an accessory for a tool, either way, enjoy!

I'm wondering why you didn't show us (or mention) the roof jack installation (or other vent to atmosphere)?
Surely a brilliant fellow such as yourself is not just pumping the fumes into the crawlspace/rafter bay?

I just teed it into an existing ventilation line that i had in the attic.
Didn't film it because any attic work is just a never-ending onslaught of cussing and crying and coughing for me hahaha
