    Super Lurker

Hi all, I'm a semi retired Architect in South Africa. Before I got to that however I had to do my trade as a "Fitter & Turner" (fit for nothing and turn out a hobo) no not quite so but after that it was the drawing office and then structural engineering followed by 40 years of Architecture. All the previous experience helps me with the connectors of my geodesic domes I propose to build for poverty alleviation projects.

I thank the gentlemen responsible for the links to Machinist Bedside Reading, what a treat!

I am in possession of the US Navy training manuals for all the toolshop machines such as lathes, milling machines and dividing heads etc. I would like to off-load them here if you haven't got them. How do I check your archives and if required how do I post them. They are really good in any library!

    Kind regards
    Johan Van Tonder

Hi Johan - welcome to HomemadeTools.net

Sounds like you have a lot of experience that will be useful around here! Regarding the US Navy training manuals, you can either upload them as attachments to a post, or you can put them in Dropbox and post the links, or, if it's easiest, you can just email them to me at jon@homemadetools.net, and I can post them and credit you for finding them.

    Hi Johan,

Welcome - glad to have you here!

I'd love to see photos of your geodesic dome work; I've always been a Fuller fan.

Thanks for offering those Navy training manuals - very much appreciated! Please do send the files or links to Jon for posting here with full credit.

What's next on your project list?

    Ken
