    Are they uncovering a ant hill? I have heard of pouring cement into a ant hill, apparently it took a lot of cement. After it was set they uncovered it as this video shows.

    Yes, this was a huge Coloney of some kind of leaf eater ants those large nodes would have or could have been for fungus growth as well as hatcheries and nurseries, the ants would need oxygen to breathe, fungus absorbs CO2 and produces oxygen so in a sense they had created their own self sustaining microcosm . The architecture of it is what's intriguing though the way the tunnels cross ventilate, but how long and how many billions of ants for how many generations did it take to create such a subterranean edifice

    It was indeed concrete. 10 tons of it. In some pours they use molten aluminum. I'd imagine that it would cool long before it reached very far.
