    I remember all those things being stock-piled in the basement of the Oklahoma State Capitol Building back in my youth. Lots of "duck and cover" back in those days.

    I would love to visit one of these if there are any still around. I remember seeing the Fallout shelter signs on the Nashville Electric Service building in Nashville long ago, but I think they remodeled the bomb shelter into other space.

    You can tour the bunker intended for our fearless leaders located in the Greenbrier resort hotel in West Virginia. They intended to have all the comforts while the hoi polloi sat in their holes gagging down twenty year old dried peas.
