Man, 0h man, you need at least 1 sq, inch to carry 1000 amps. Positive and negative on an AC output and then dry joints and no lugs on the cable connections. I have tried this and found that you get about 1 volt per winding on a microwave transformer core with a 230 volt input. With his setup he is probably going to ge a max. of 100 amps.

But he printed 1000 A on his wooden box and published it on YT - how could this be wrong???

Make it DC with some big caps and then you might get to 1000A for a short time...

With it being AC, there is NO + and - . AC has no polarity out of a transformer. A cord clamp or grommet of some sort should be used around the AC input cord. Also crimped ring terminals should be used on the wire. It looks like #12 stranded copper, so the most it can safely carry is 25 amps of current. With voltage that low it would have been a good idea to use electrical conductant grease on the wire terminals and lead wires from the terminals.
