Hi, I’d like to share a project I’ve been working on for a while now. It’s a small home made epoxy granite cnc. I recorded a bit of footage and made some mostly time laps videos of the build process.
Hope you like it.
Thanks Joergb! We've added your CNC to our CNC category,

I find the granite epoxy method of making machine tools very intriguing. I often have to put thoughts of making something that I do not really need out of my mind, just because it is so interesting. It is especially useful for when you need to built a special purpose one off tool. I think that a surface grinder would be a good use for the technique. Lots of inherent damping which would be good on a grinder. Dan Gelbart made a precision lathe/grinder with air bearings on granite epoxy.
