Yep I'm sure that was perfectly safe, your butt 2 inches off the ground a potential grenade in your lap if you flipped in a crash there was a good chance of breaking or losing both legs

Not to mention the vertical handle in the ULQ that will impale the noggin of anybody doing flips or twists or the bits of tire that come off during the run, occasionally failing...

That's a "live" axle - those aren't axle tubes, they are the rotating axles, I believe?
