    sketchy hedge trimmer

Not sure where I originally found this nightmare. Doubles as a haircut machine.

Let's see...mount a lawnmower at head height with its exhaust chute pointed directly at my head. Drive it around until one thick piece of branch gives me a lobotomy. What's wrong with that?

Some people who know how to use tools shouldn't be allowed to have access to any.

Marv I was thinking the same thing. The scary thing is the guy is white haired which should mean he had reached an age where one's personal safety should take presidents over innovation, even if the safety of others who may be near by is forgotten.

And, if the blade comes loose (they do, I've witnessed it) he'll go the way of old Louis XVI, right there on the front lawn.

He's obviously not without means judging by the John Deer gater he is driving which means he can afford to buy a proper sickle bar hedge trimmer either gas or electric
Heck I own a pneumatic one with a 30 inch bar and a gasoline powered air compressor that could be mounted on his contraption but even then I would want a Plexiglas or other shield between me and the rig.
Notice how he is leaning over as far as he can, probably flinching from the flying debris
