Wink Simple homemade broach for knifemaking/woodworking

    Hello back everyone!
I‘ve got a ton of fun making Japanese kitchen knives lately and since they‘ve got a hidden tang, you have to hollow out the handle. Because filing takes a ton of time, I decided to make myself a broach which helps you remove material quickly. I‘m also using it to make the fitting Saya once the knife is done completely.
Thank you for checking it out!
Have a good one and keep broaching

If you‘ve got any questions, feel free to ask here or on YT, I‘m glad to answer them!

I'm definitely going to have to make this one. I like the shape of the handle a lot, looks like it won't slip when pulling on it.

That’s right! Only problem is, that I made the handle to look good and it isn’t that comfortable in the hand. I‘d recommend you to either make it longer or round over the ends to form some sort of a ball which sits in you palm. That’s what I‘ll try next
