This is a cutting guide I designed to aid in accurately cutting lap siding with a circular saw. It really works well when I’m batch processing a cut list right off the pallet. It has a guide bar that slides out and locks at the distance to your blade from the base plate of the saw so you know exactly where the cut will be. No need to score and follow a line.
It can also cut common roof pitch angles for siding along a roof line or in a gable against the soffit line.
This video shows the basic functions of the square.
Made from scrap aluminum composite panel (al-13), aluminum angle and fastened with rivets.
