Vertical saw attachment for my band saw

Many of my homemade tools are just a couple of pieces of scrap tacked together to accomplish my task at hand
This one is no exception a couple of years ago I was starting on my 49 chevy pickup rebuild when I noticed that I was going to need new cross-members and several other parts so Since I had to start somewhere I grabbed a couple pieces of scrap tacked them together and made an attachment for my WE Wells & sons 8x10 band saw

An extremely simple tool so simple it can hardly be classed as a tool but I've used it over and over many times. it only tales a couple seconds to clamp in the vice and I'm ready to saw

    spelling error

How'd your 49 Chevy turn out? do you have any photos? I had a 53 GMC 3/4 to with a 283 cid under the hood for many, many years. Now trying to redo a 55 Ford F350 dually (ex-dump truck). Somebody installed a 1967 390cid in it. When I re-did the clutch a few years back, I added a flywheel from a FT motor and now run the clutch from an F700 in it. My next project is adding power brakes and redoing the electrical system. After that, I will re-install a PTO driven hydraulic system for the dump bed.

The 49 is still packed away in a dry van. Just too many other projects come up
